Primary Imperial Doctrine Outlining Clan Infrastructure
Through the analyzation of the rise and decline of clans on Starcraft's Battlenet servers, the founders of this clan have come to the following conclusions: Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Far too many times in the past have the actions of single members dominoed into the irreversible demise of the clan, and sometimes, the catastrophic dismantling of a clan within mere hours. This must be avoided!
The Empire has succeeded in solving this problem! Through a technique that Imperial Scientists have labeled as 'The Imperial Monarchy', control of the clan is secured without fear that it will be lost. Unlike single and linear ranking systems, there is instead a dichotomy of clan infrastructure. Instead of a single ruling class, where the loss of an upper official would destroy the chain of command, there is a system of checks and balances that allow for smooth transition from one controling body to the other.
There are four central rank divisions: The Royalty, The Corporation, The Corporate Military, and The Council. Each are split up into their respective rank system. If you ranked in any one of the 4 divisions, then you have authority and control over the people beneath you. You do not however, have any authority over people ranked in divisions you are not in. This separation of authority makes it, so that if any single division suffers a catastrophic collapse, the other divisions exist to rebuild that portion of the clan. The exception is the Royalty, which as the center of Imperial Rule needs to have control over all its dominion. Hence, anyone ranked in the Royalty, has authority over anyone lower ranked regardless of division.
There is a further mixing of command structure by allowing crossovers between some of the divisions. This allows for members to have ranks in more than one division at the same time. Feasibly, someone would be able to hold rank in every single branch. The exceptions are: If you are Royal or Council, you cannot join the Corporation or the Military.
All divisions other than Royalty are linear. You cannot have more than ONE rank in one of those divisions at the same time. Royalty however, is structured differently. You may have as many royal ranks as you wish, provided you are capable of handling the responsibilities that come with the rank.
The accumulation of rank numbers, and your total level of authority is made manifest on the bot. There are things that can increase your access number above what your rank would usually provide. If you have higher access than someone who is higher ranked in the same division as you, it does not matter. They still retain their position in the chain of command. If, however, someone who held rank higher than you, but less access, from another division tries to command you around, you will be immune. (Example: Bob is a 4 in the military and a 2 in the corporation. John is a 3 in the corporation. Bob could normally order John around, but if Bob had +100 access aside from rank, it would prevent Bob from commanding him.) The exception to this rule is members of the board (The CEO, Presidents, and Vice Presidents) as they are immune from orders save anyone but the Emperor's or the Chancellors. If you are in royalty, higher access is the point. By having a high access, you will retain authority over members of other divisions. This is reflected by the +5 that all members of royalty get. It means that while a 2 in another division could not order a 2 around.. a Royal 2, can order any other 2 around, because their access is 5 higher. If, for example, the other 2 had a bot, giving him +50, he would be immune to the Royal 2's control.
Your Clearance level (Access) is 70 + (your total rank (#)'s times 35).
Ie. 70 + (2*35) = 140.
Royalty: +5, Tournament Win: +5, Active Online Bot: +50, Emperor's FavorL +10-100. Major 1v1: +10.
